Rock and Roll! Honestly, I've only known Aerosmith way back in my college when I was in the peak of digging rock music.

The very first song I've heard back then was I don't wanna miss a thing.After seeing their video, I start searching about them and know more about their albums so that I can buy one in cassette tape.


Video. About the video, undeniably guys would love it because both Alicia Silverstone and Liv Tyler (daughter of Steve Tyler, lead vocalist of Aerosmith) are the leading characters. Now, who's hot? That add ups to the rockness of the song.


Recently or about a year ago, Philippine artist Rachelle Ann Go covered this song and honestly I don't like it. The video of her covered is also here.

Been listening to this year's version of We are the world 2010 over and over again. Generally speaking I would say that I like it because the proceeds of their effort will go to Haitian. People who really needs our help right now.


Comparing the new version of We are the world 2010, I must say that I really like the original version. Well, whatever version it is, what matter is that they gathered together to help those in need.

Firstly, who's this artist?Shawn Colvin, an American singer-songwriter born January 10,1956. Here in Philippines particularly Cotabato, I think she's not that popular during the peak of her career. Can't comment in Philippine wide though.

I've heard her song Sunny Came Home around 1998. By that time, Alanis Morissette was already popular and Shawn Colvin in my opinion was trying her luck to be line-up with Alanis Morissette. Penpal : Looking for penpal?

I wonder if penpal is still in today. It depends on ones definition of penpal, as observed today, only few would bother to write a lengthy of paragraphs in a paper.

 In a technology today, getting acquainted to a person can be in many medium. It could be cellular phone, email, chat, or popular social networking sites like Facbook.

I remember way back in high school, people also get acquainted by two-way radios. Another form of media for socializing which didn't last that long in my opinion.   But for some of us during those days write letters to other schools to meet new friends. Philippine Post Office conducted seminar to encourage us to write letters and have friends from other schools. Unfortunately, I think none of us tried to.

What's the difference of penpal or online friends today? Ideally, none. But in speed of correspondence or let say connection, the difference could be a million miles really. It's beyond compare to what we have before. Mail from a post office is usually called as "Snail Mail", now who would like to receive a mail that will be received for a month or two. Who would want to full their garbage bin in a whole night just writing a letter?

Writing in a sheet of paper a way cheaper than typing in a computer using your keyboard.

In my post Friendster will be closing soon, I mentioned that Facbook is becoming more popular each today.

Globally in Alexa top 500 sites, Facbook is still number two while number one in Philippines. Top sites in Philippines haven't change a lot but noticeably Friendster dropped down from number three to six.

Why join Facbook? What I really like most is connecting with family, friends, relatives, ex-classmates, neighbor is so easy, with the help of Suggestions corner. There's also a Family Link application wherein you can tag your friend as your relative, say cousin. If your cousin will add new relative, you will also be notified and check if you're related to that person added by your cousin.

"Today President Bill Clinton was admitted to the Columbia Campus of NY Presbyterian hospital after feeling discomfort in his chest.

Following a visit to his cardiologist, he underwent a procedure to place 2 stents in one of his coronary arteries.

President Clinton is in good spirits and will continue to focus on the work of his Foundation and Haiti's relief and long-term recovery efforts."

The statement continues, "In 2004, President Clinton underwent a successful quadruple bypass operation to free four blocked arteries."

Avast new logo and UI

Admit it or not we all like free. Free t-shirts from politicians, free mugs (of beer) as long as it's we'll love it of course. As a PC addict, nothing compares to have a softwares that are free to have your PC "free" of viruses (We really love free). As of today, I reformatted my PC have my favorite anti-virus Avast installed again.

Since I wanted to download a fresh copy of Avast home edition, I got stuck for a few seconds to doubt the authenticity of the site I visited. Why does the good old blue circle with small caps letter inside was missing? Am I on the wrong site? Well, I confirmed from Avast blog that they indeed changed their logo. Based from their blog, the new logo arrived around January 19,2010 or earlier. Recently, I post about MTV new logo which I think updating logos and services are now trending.

Aside from its logo, Avast also changed the program interface. Based from this image here, it's a big leap from its previous version. I've tried using it last night but I haven't found the option "Schedule boot-time scan". If someone have tried using the new version of Avast, please leave your comment.

MTV new logo

Why would a three decade logo of a popular music television channel be change all of a sudden? Making the letter M smaller and removing its tagline Music Television.

According to Yahoo! tv news site, MTV is actually changing its programming or simply not just focusing on music. In a marketing's point of view, this implies that they are expanding their market into a much wider coverage as compare to just music. As a regular viewer (during my high school days), this would be a mess for me. Well, that was a decade ago. In my opinion, I think the channel is not really into just music. In fact, they also engage in movies because they have their MTV Movie Awards.

Well, we will be expecting a lot more changes to the most popular channel.

Yahoo Mail - Subject-O-Matique

Something worth sharing about Yahoo! mail. I was actually in the middle of preparing my email to a friend. Accidentally, I clicked the subject and noticed the subject I type was changed. To my surprise, I enjoyed clicking again and again because it generates random subjects like from these images.









Until I decided to blog about it, I took screen shot of the event and noticed a Tool-tip Subject-O-Matique. Then I realized it was just another Yahoo! mail fun feature which I haven't learned or read about yet.

The keyword or key phrase is actually a song of Alanis Morissette which was one of her hits way back late 90's. Alanis was then one of my favorite female rock artists until now.
