Happy Eid'l Fitr Muslim brothers & sisters

Once again the Holy Month of Ramadhan has ended and celebrated by Muslims around the world as Eid'l Fitr.

Here in Cotabato City, thousands celebrated night before the congregation prayer will be held. by conducting a motorcade and Takbir. Takbir is done by reciting "Allahu Akbar" or "Allah is Great" (followed by other phrases ) repeatedly.

In the city also,the largest Mosque here in the Philippines opened today as Muslim prayed for  Eid'l Fitr. The mosque was named after Brunie Sultanate, Masjid Sultan Hadji Hassanal Bolkiah as he funded the building of the said mosque.

After the Eid'l Fitr prayer, many families celebrated by holding a "Kanduli" or sort of party. In the ARMM ORG Compound, the ARMM government treated the attendees of the Eid'l Fitr prayer by held at the compound by giving them food after the prayer. Children were also given gift packs.

In general, the 2011 Eid'tl Fitr in the city has been peaceful with no reported dead or hit by stray bullets. It has also been reported that only few from our fellow Muslims fired their guns.
